"Close-up perspectives are what I am drawn to. I enjoy looking at textures, angles, curves, and their uniqueness that can only be revealed by zooming in. This point of view allows me to feel connected to my subjects. It is common for my canvas not to contain the entire image, which is intentional: I feel immense pleasure in allowing the viewers to think outside the frame!"

Nathalie Foisy is a Canadian artist based in Austin, Quebec. She discovered her talent but especially her passion for painting after studying psychology and working in the design industry. Her vibrant energy, confidence and engaging personality transpire through her paintings with their lively contrasts and generous forms.

Foisy’s technique alternates between precision and intuitiveness. In this process, she allows the mix of colors and bold knife strokes to evolve without constraint, leaving the impression of abstract renderings within figurative pieces.  

By using acrylic on oversized canvas or wood panels, Foisy’s paintings have prominence in every setting and exude a timeless elegance.
